Primary research comprises both qualitative and quantitative research, and data collected from both forms of research can be performed well with the guidance of statistical tools, covering the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Qualitative research comprises in-depth interviews whereas quantitative research comprises surveys and polls. Since the sample size for surveys and polls is huge, it is important for students to examine the data and present the findings in an easy to understand manner. Statistical tools help students to make sense of the data and convert the data into tables, graphs and charts, which enhances the look and feel of their dissertations.
